MTV brings tech to dating

MTV is to air a dating series that uses tech to pair up potential soul mates across its global network of channels later this year.

Are You the One?, produced by Lighthearted Entertainment, makes use of a unique dating algorithm created to help quantify compatibility.

It features 10 women and 10 men trying to find their perfect match having undergone tests to determine their ideal other half. 10 ideal pairs are identified and the challenge is for each person to find their true match whilst on the island of Kauai, Hawaii.

Each episode will air across MTV’s international channels soon after the show’s US premiere, beginning in late January.
