Mr Selfridge goes up for sale

New episodes of UK broadcaster ITV’s period drama Mr Selfridge are to be made available for viewers in the UK to buy on iTunes three days before they air.

The second season of Mr Selfridge (10×60′) launches on ITV’s flagship channel ITV1 this Sunday; however, the episode is already available to buy on iTunes.

New episodes will also be made available, in both HD and SD, on iTunes each week on the Thursday before they air on ITV1 for the run of the entire second season.

The electronic sell-through agreement marks the first time distributor ITV Studios Global Entertainment has agreed a pre-broadcast deal for an entire series on iTunes.

Produced by ITV Studios, the series is based upon the life of flamboyant American entrepreneur Harry Gordon Selfridge, who founded the eponymous department store on London’s Oxford Street in 1909.
