Movistar Plus+ to adapt NBCUniversal musical format That’s My Jam in Spain

Jimmy Fallon fronts the US version of That’s My Jam

Spanish broadcaster Movistar Plus+ has picked up US format That’s My Jam for local adaptation.

NBCUniversal Formats, part of Universal International Studios, a division of the Universal Studio Group, sealed the deal for a Spanish version to launch later this year.

It will be produced by Movistar Plus+ in collaboration with Lacoproductora, Universal Television Alternative Studio (UTAS) and Pólvora Films, the prodco from Arturo Valls, who will host.

The original version of That’s My Jam is produced by UTAS together with Jimmy Fallon’s production company Electric Hot Dog.

The show was born as a segment on Fallon’s Tonight Show. It features celebrities participating in musical competitions such as Wheel of Musical Impressions, Musical Genre Challenge and Slay It Don’t Spray It.

It has previously been adapted in the UK, France, Italy, Germany and Mongolia.
