More delays for Kangaroo

NEWS BRIEF: Proposed BBC/Channel 4/ITV catch-up TV joint venture Kangaroo has suffered yet another delay, with the UK’s Competition Commission today extending its ruling deadline to February 8, 2009.

This comes after the Commission saying in August it would be extending the time limit on the gathering of information by one month as the parties involved had failed to supply the required information in time. The organisation will now issue its preliminary findings in December, which will be followed by a consultation period.
