Moley creator launches children’s prodco Two Daughters Entertainment

Moley has been picked up around the world since its debut last year

James Reatchlous, the creator of British animated children’s series Moley, has launched a production company called Two Daughters Entertainment.

Alongside the launch, kids and family distributor Jetpack Distribution has signed a deal for Moley with Chinese distributor Jetsen Huashi and Polish pubcaster TVP.

The sub-distribution deal with Jetsen Huashi gives the company the linear, digital and VoD rights to distribute Moley across China. The deal with TVP also includes the 30-minute special Master Moley: By Royal Invitation.

Having premiered last year, Moley (52×11’) now airs in more than 140 countries and is shown on Warner Bros Discovery’s Boomerang channel across EMEA.

Two Daughters Entertainment is also working on three new animated properties to be produced and released over the next five years.

Reatchlous is MD of the new prodco and has recruited a production team to work on its slate of projects. Bonnie Arnold has joined as exec producer, working alongside producer Tony Nottage and director Leon Joosen.

Reatchlous said: “I never dreamed that the bedtime story I told my two daughters would come to life and turn out to be such a success. I am very proud of how far we have come with Moley and very excited to now work on three more animated shows which I think will really surprise and wow the industry.”
