MipTV honours Bauer, Zee brothers

MipTV organiser Reed Midem will present five international television executives with the prestigious Médaille d’Honneur award for 2016 at the event next month.

Recipients of this year’s award, which was introduced in 2013, include Rola Bauer, partner at Tandem Productions in Germany and a StudioCanal executive.

Brothers Punit Goenka and Amit Goenka, from India’s Zee Entertainment Enterprises, are also honoured. Punit is MD and CEO of the firm while Amit is CEO of its international broadcast business.

Ben Pyne, president of global distribution at Disney Media Networks in the US, and Marcel Vinay, president of Comarex in Mexico, are also picking up the award.

The MipTV 2016 Médaille d’Honneur will be presented at a ceremony on Wednesday April 6 in Cannes.

The award goes to senior international executives who have made a significant contribution to the world of television and the development of the international TV community.
