Midsomer Murders continues to drive All3 sales

The international distribution arm of UK prodco All3Media has secured a string of sales in Eastern Europe, including British murder mystery drama Midsomer Murders.

Russia’s Central Partnership has relicensed 11 series of Midsomer from All3Media International, while the first four seasons will air on Latvian Sate TV. The show was mired in controversy in the UK earlier this year after comments from its co-creator sparked a race row, but it continues to sell well overseas.

FTV Prima in the Czech Republic, meanwhile, has acquired 80 episodes of motoring show Fifth Gear (North One TV). However, broadcasters in Poland have snapped up the most programming.

Puls acquired makeover show 10 Years Younger (Maverick) and cookery programme Rachel Allens’ Bake! (Cactus TV), while Canal Plus Poland has taken Around the World in 80 Gardens (BBC), gameshow WA$TED! USA (Lion Television) and World Kitchen (Zoomslide Productions).

Polcast will air military drama Ultimate Force (Bentley Productions), New Zealand comedy drama series Outrageous Fortune (South Pacific Pictures), miniseries Talk To Me (Company Pictures) and factual entertainment show I Want My Mummy (Lion TV).

BBC Worldwide has also acquired a number of shows for its Polish network viewers, including Derren Brown Events and Derren Brown at 30,000 Feet (both Objective Productions), Jimmy McGovern’s drama The Accused, as well as both the UK and US versions of factual entertainment series Undercover Boss.
