Middlechild steers Canal Boat Diaries S6 for UKTV

NEWS BRIEF: UK multichannel broadcaster UKTV has commissioned a sixth season of Canal Boat Diaries, presented by Robbie Cumming, for factual channel U&Yesterday and AVoD streamer U.

The new season will comprise 10 hours and is produced by unscripted indie Middlechild Productions. The first four seasons aired on BBC Four but UKTV has been the commissioning broadcaster since S5. The exec producer is David Sumnall at Middlechild and the series producer is Stuart Woodman, who has produced all previous series.
