Michael Johnson upped to streaming and content director at LA-based ElectricNow

LA-based production and distribution company Electric Entertainment has promoted Michael Johnson to the position of director, streaming and content operations for ElectricNow, its OTT app and FAST channel.

In his new role, Johnson will handle all aspects pertaining to the app and channel, including those for ElectricNOW en Español.

He will continue to manage all daily operational facets of ElectricNOW, including but not limited to managing all staff and technology, overseeing the platform’s ad sales, programme scheduling and strategy.

Johnson will also head up the creation and use of promotional on-air content, as well as remain the main point of contact for all streaming platform partners.

He will continue to report to Steve Saltman, head of domestic sales. Johnson’s elevation was announced by Dean Devlin, CEO of Electric Entertainment, at StreamTV Show, in Denver, Colorado.

Indie TV and film studio Electric Entertainment is known for series such as The Ark, Almost Paradise and The Outpost. ElectricNOW streams the company’s own content as well as acquired programming and films.
