Michael B Jordan expands Amazon deal

Amazon Studios has expanded its partnership with actor Michael B Jordan’s prodco Outlier Society to include an overall television and first-look film deal.

The TV deal will see Outlier Society working exclusively with the streamer, while under the film agreement, the company will produce and acquire films showcasing diverse filmmakers and talent for the studio’s original movie slate.

The creative relationship will also see cross-collaborations between the prodco and Amazon’s other businesses including fashion, Audible and music.

The deal comes as the global launch date of Outlier Society thriller Tom Clancy’s Without Remorse, which also stars Jordan (Black Panther, Creed, The Wire) and will be available on Amazon Prime Video, has been announced as April 30.

Last month, Outler Society announced the appointment of former Paramount president of production Elizabeth Raposo as president.
