Micah Richards’ doc producer Buzz 16 signs Minnow Films alum Opie Meres

Documentary Micah Richards: Tackling Racism

UK sports specialist prodco Buzz 16 has appointed India Opie Meres, formerly of London-based Minnow Films, in the newly created role of head of development.

Opie Meres will be reporting to Scott Melvin, CEO & Buzz 16 co-founder, and Duncan East, MD, with a brief to expand the company’s burgeoning factual and factual entertainment slate for a broad range of broadcast platforms.

Opie Meres joins Buzz 16 following a tenure at SAS: Who Dares Wins producer Minnow Films, where she was a development producer in factual entertainment and prior to that, worked at TwoFour for five years, Lion Television and Mentorn Films.

Buzz 16 is the team behind documentary Micah Richards: Tackling Racism, docuseries Class of ’92: Full Time which follows six former Manchester United stars as they navigate the highs and lows of managing non-league Salford FC, and YouTube series The Overlap, fronted by Buzz 16 board member Gary Neville.
