Miam! Animation adds Sarah Teyssier-Miko, Anne Besnier to management team

France-based children’s prodco Miam! Animation has hired Sarah Teyssier-Miko as head of studio and Anne Besnier as head of productions.

Teyssier-Miko was most recently head of studio at Xilam Animation’s Cube Creative. She has almost 15 years of experience in production management at companies also including visual effects firms Duran Duboi and Mac Guff Ligne.

At Miam! Animation, Teyssier-Miko will be in charge of consolidating the production pipeline, overseeing production management and contributing to the studio’s development and financing strategy.

Besnier has worked in the industry for almost five years at companies including animation house Blue Spirit Studio and post-production firm Shards.

Besnier will focus on upper-preschool series The Tinies for Canal+. Production will start this spring with delivery expected in early 2025.

Miam! Animation has also appointed Amélie Mermoud as head of brands and communication. As well as promoting the company and its productions, she will be in charge of managing the licensing and merchandising exploitation of Miam! Animation’s brands.

These include Edmond & Lucy, Goat Girl and The Tinies, in addition to Miam! Distribution’s slate of shows including Yeti Tales and Little Malabar.
