Mexican VoD platform finds Hit shows

Grupo Televisa-owned Mexican cableco Cablevision is adding titles from for-sale kids’ firm Hit Entertainment to its video-on-demand platform.

The deal, brokered by European VoD aggregator On Demand Group (ODG), gives the subscription VoD platform children’s programmes including Pingu, Percy the Park Keeper and Rubbadubbers, all available in Spanish.

The sale is SeaChange International-owned ODG’s first into Latin America. Hit, meanwhile, remains locked in talks with a small number of potential buyers as it seeks to pay off bank debts.
