Mediaset meets Dori’s Power Couple

Abot Hameiri’s Power Couple

Italian commercial broadcaster Mediaset has picked up local adaptation rights to Israeli format Power Couple locally, marking the 14th international deal for the show.

In the show, couples compete to prove how well they know each other and win cash prizes. The Israeli original, created by local prodco Abot Hameiri, ran for two years until 2017 on Channel 10, before being brought back by Channel 13 this year for a third season.

Mexican media company Televisa has already begun shooting season two of its local version, Inseparables, while a third run of the Croatian adaptation will debut in September.

Other international versions of Power Couple include a Hungarian edition, which is due to enter its fifth season on RTL, while four seasons of Power Couple Brazil have aired on RecordTV.
