Mediapro founder Jaume Roures acquires Catalan prodco Goroka Contents

Mediapro founder Jaume Roures has acquired the Catalan production company and true crime specialist Goroka Contents.

The acquisition was revealed by newspaper El Nacional, which points out that, according to the Commercial Registry, Roures took control of Goroka Contents through his company Mediacable Servicios de Producción, assuming the position of sole administrator.

The operation marks Roures’ return to audiovisual production and comes two and a half years after his departure from Mediapro.

With almost 20 years of experience, Goroka Contents was until now led by Guillermo Cascante Portabella and Victòria Piany Rovira.

Jaume Roures is one of the founders of the Mediapro Group, a company he led for almost 30 years until his dismissal in 2023.
