May will finish at eOne on May 3, having come onboard as part of its acquisition of Alliance Films in January. She is leaving to “pursue other opportunities,” eOne said.

“The parting is an amicable one and follows eOne’s series of recent announcements related to the integration of the Alliance Films business,” the company added.

May co-founded Canadian distribution company Maple Pictures in 2005 and joined Alliance Films in 2011 after it bought Maple from Lionsgate Entertainment.

The acquisiton of Alliance earlier this year brought under one roof 35,000 film and TV titles including Peppa Pig, The Walking Dead and Rookie Blue, plus the Twilight saga, The Lord of the Rings and The Hunger Games.
