Max McMurdo is lord of the manor in new Channel 4 format Chateau DIY: Win the Dream

UK broadcaster Channel 4 has greenlit property renovation format Chateau DIY: Win the Dream, the latest spin-off from its hit reality series Escape to the Chateau.

Produced by Spark Media Partners North, the 20-part series will air in 2026 and follows 12 pairs of contestants as they compete in a range of DIY, renovation and event-hosting challenges.

The winners will get to run their very own historic French property. It’s presented by sustainability expert Max McMurdo.

Filmed on location in France, McMurdo leads the judging panel and will be joined throughout the series by a rotating line-up of faces from C4 reality series Chateau DIY including Stephanie Jarvis, Terry and Ashley, and Nick and Nicole.
