MasterChef returns to Argentina with Telefe

NEWS BRIEF: Argentinian broadcaster Telefe will produce and broadcast MasterChef Argentina this year as part of a multi-season agreement with the format’s distributor, Banijay Rights.

The new season builds on the success of the series, which first aired on the network 11 years ago and has led to three iterations, including MasterChef Junior and Celebrity MasterChef. Guillermo Pendino, VP of content and programming at Telefe, said: “This revival of MasterChef Argentina demonstrates our continued commitment to a truly iconic franchise, which we’ll aim to elevate through our core pillars: top-tier production quality, expansive audience reach and a robust 360-degree commercial strategy.”
