Marian Keyes adaptation The Walsh Sisters highlight of Cineflix Rights’ Cannes slate

Irish comedy-drama series The Walsh Sisters heads UK distributor Cineflix Rights’ slate of scripted, factual and true crime content for Mipcom this month.

The 6×60’ show is produced by Cuba Pictures and Metropolitan Pictures for Ireland’s RTÉ in association with the BBC, Screen Ireland and Cineflix Rights. Based on the novels by Marian Keyes, it tells the story of five Irish sisters bound by love, history and a tendency to self-destruct.

Other scripted titles to be shopped to buyers are Nordic crime thriller Hildur (6×60’, Take Two Studios and Sagafilm in association with IPR.VC for Ruutu and Siminn) and darkly comedic crime drama Sunny Nights (8×60’, Jungle Entertainment and Echo Lake Entertainment in association with Cineflix Rights for Stan).

Cineflix’s factual slate comprises A New Life in the Sun: Win a B&B (15×60’, True North Productions for Channel 4), Top of the Block (40×30’, Scott Brothers Entertainment for HGTV), Kobe: The Making of a Legend (3×60’, CNN Original Productions), Rookie Truckers (8×60’, Prospero Productions for Seven Network and Channel 5) and Recording Evil (3×60’, Totseret Ha’Aretz Productions, for KAN 11).

True Crime series on the slate include Billionaire Boys Club (4×60’, CNN Original Productions), Most Likely to Murder (10×60’, Law&Crime Productions for Law&Crime Network), Don’t Open the Door (20×60’, Cineflix and C3 Media for A&E), Kill/Switch (10×60’, Law&Crime Productions for Law&Crime Network).
