Marcus Lemonis, Nancy Glass form new company to manage Hatos-Hall catalogue

Marcus Lemonis, TV host and CEO of Marcus Entertainment, and producer Nancy Glass, CEO of Glass Entertainment Group, have launched a new company specifically to oversee their recently acquired Hatos-Hall Productions gameshow catalogue.

Through the new company, Marcus/Glass Productions, Lemonis and Glass will manage the distribution of formats such as Let’s Make a Deal and Split Second. The pair acquired the Hatos-Hall catalogue in August with a view to reviving some of the formats for modern audiences.

The company has secured its first deal, selling the format for Let’s Make a Deal to German broadcaster Sat.1. The German company plans to revive the format, which was adapted in the 1990s under the name Geh aufs Ganze (Go All Out), with Fremantle-owned UFA Show & Factual producing.

The format, which has been produced and adapted in several markets, features costumed contestants who must choose to remain with the deals they’re offered or trade them in for the chance to win big. In the US, the latest iteration of the show has been airing on CBS since 2009, with Wayne Brady as host.

Most recently, Glass and Lemonis partnered on the HGTV series The Renovator and the podcast One Hundred Percent with Marcus Lemonis.

Lemonis, the longtime host of CNBC’s The Profit, formed Marcus Entertainment in 2021 and has since made an investment in New York-based prodco Zero Point Zero Production.

Meanwhile, Glass, who also heads up Glass Entertainment Group, has produced a raft of series this year including Lincoln: An American President (CNN), Heartland Vets: DVM (Nat Geo Wild), Queen of Stylez (Snapchat), Frozen in Time with Maureen McCormick (HGTV) and Murder Nation (HLN).
