March launches distributor Dynamic

The former international president of US distributor Echo Bridge Entertainment has launched his own company, with 160 hours of US talkshow host Conan O’Brien’s late-night TBS series on its slate.

Dynamic Television will be based in LA and led by Daniel March, who left Echo Bridge in February this year after a decade with the company.

His new outfit will make its debut at Mipcom in October with 200 hours of original content available for licensing in all territories for the first time, according to the distributor.

Also included in Dynamic’s slate are nine made-for-television movies, including Syfy’s Invasion Roswell and Dragon Throne, and a romantic comedy Lucky Dog, currently in production with Good Deed Productions.

March is credited with launching Echo Bridge’s international distribution division, which grew to include six sales offices in five countries, and sold series such as Canadian teen drama Degrassi.

“Demand for original programming is continuing to rise, creating great opportunities for independents in television,” said March.

“But audience expectations are also rising, which necessitates a greater need for collaboration among talent, distributors and broadcasters. Dynamic will help facilitate that collaborative process and enable producers to create exciting programming for our clients.”
