Marathon notches up post-Mipcom deals

France’s Marathon Media has sewn up a number of new deals for its flagship kids properties Monster Buster Club, Famous Five on the Case and Totally Spies following Mipcom.

Already pre-sold to Super RTL in Germany, Monster Buster Club (left, 52×56′) sold to Spain’s RTVE, Slovenia’s RTV, Ireland’s RTE, LNK in Lithuania, Arabic net MBC, Radio Canada and Denmark’s TV2, with further negotiations underway in the US, Italy, Turkey, Singapore, South Africa and Brazil.

Adapted from Enid Blyton’s children’s books, Famous Five on the Case (26×26′) was the second-most-watched series at Mipcom Junior. Already pre-sold to Super RTL, Belgium’s RTBF, Disney Asia and Australia and the Netherlands’ Jetix, new sales are expected in Scandinavia, Turkey, Israel, Greece, Lithuania and Belgium, with interest shown in almost every country.

The fifth season of Totally Spies has sold to Disney Asia, DigiTurk (Turkey), GMTV (UK), La Forta (Spain), TV12 (Singapore), Mediaset (Italy), Oryx (Middle East), RTE (Ireland), RTL TVI and VT4 (Belgium), TSR (Switzerland), TV Globo (Brazil), TV2 (Denmark) and LNK. Hungary and South African networks are set to join the list in the next few weeks.
