Malaysia’s Astro takes local rights to Nippon TV formats Love’s In Sight, Homeroom

Nippon TV’s romantic comedy Love’s In Sight

Malaysian pay TV platform Astro has acquired the rights to adapt Japanese broadcaster Nippon TV’s scripted formats Love’s In Sight and Homeroom.

The Malay-language version of Love’s In Sight (Dari Mata Turun ke Hati) launches on Astro today, with Homeroom (Kelas Tahanan Cikgu Hiragi) to follow at a later date.

Based on a manga, Love’s In Sight is a romantic comedy and coming-of-age story about the romance between a visually impaired girl and a juvenile delinquent who has led a rough and lonely life.

Homeroom, which has already been adapted in Turkey and Thailand, centres on a teacher who takes his students hostage 10 days before graduation, in turn uncovering the truth behind a classmate’s unexplained suicide.
