In the newly created role, the veteran development and production executive will lead development for the company behind titles including O’ahu Shores (Peacock), Who Hired the Hitman? (ID), Moonshiners (Discovery) and Long Island Medium (TLC).

Duncan will report to Magilla co-founders Laura Palumbo-Johnson and Matthew Ostrom and president Jason Fox.

He was previously the executive VP of development at Bright North Studios, where he worked on titles including Ranchland Listings (Prime Video), Everything on the Menu with Braun Strowman (USA Network) and The Christmas Killings (Paramount+).

Prior to that, he was the senior VP of development at Brent Montgomery’s Wheelhouse and VP of development at ITV America.

“We’re extremely proud of Magilla’s contribution to the unscripted landscape over the past 16 years in business, and our full attention is now on the new models, partnerships and creative ideas that will lead us through the next 16,” said Palumbo-Johnson and Ostrom.

“It’s with this mindset that we’re bringing Kevin onboard as our first chief development officer. Kevin is a dynamic creative and a savvy exec, and we’re delighted to welcome him to the team as we usher in an exciting new wave of content.”
