M6 restructures leadership

French broadcast group M6 has appointed Laurence Souveton-Vieille in the newly created role of general secretary of programmes as part of a major restructure to streamline its linear and digital activities.

The restructure involves production management and programme management merging as one department called general programming, led by Souveton-Vieille.

Souveton-Vieille will report to Thomas Valentin, vice-chairman of the management board in charge of channels and content.

Elsewhere, Anne Clerc has been promoted to director of management and programme finances, with Mylène Coisnard joining her team has program administration manager.

M6’s owner, European media giant RTL Group, is reportedly seeking a buyer for the company, with an asking price of around €3bn (US$3.6bn).
