M6 restructures fiction department following Florent Gellie’s departure

M6’s head of scripted commissioning Florent Gellie is exiting the French broadcaster after 15 years, prompting a reshuffle of its fiction department.

Gellie is leaving the broadcasting group – where he held roles such as head of VoD and catch-up TV, scripted television executive and head of acquisitions for TF6 and Serieclub – to focus on production.

The exec’s departure means Fictions Antennes and Fictions SND will be merged into one department, headed by director of fiction productions Quentin de Revel and co-director of fiction programmes Yasmine Roumane.

Fictions Antennes focuses on the development and distribution of French and European scripted series, including family comedy Scènes de Ménages, for M6’s various channels, while Fictions SND develops and produces drama for M6’s channels, as well as for the international market.

M6 channels include flagship free-to-air service M6 as well as several digital networks including W9, 6ter, female-skewing pay TV channel Teva and kids platforms Gulli, Tiji and Canal J.
