M6 goes to the movies with Epithete Films

Epithete Films’ The Maiden & the Wolves

M6 Group in France has acquired Epithete Films for an undisclosed amount as it continues to grow its catalogue of feature films.

The deal gives the media firm control over 25 feature films, including the Belle & Sébastien trilogy, Malabar Princess, Ridicule, The Maiden & the Wolves and You Will Be My Son.

M6 Group said its catalogue now contains more than 1,300 films following the deal.

The RTL-owned company last year acquired a host of TV channels from Lagardère for €215m (US$243m), including Gulli, Canal J, TiJi, Elle Girl TV, MCM, MCM Top and RFM TV.
