M-Go seals Lionsgate deal

M-Go, the new VoD service launched by DreamWorks Animation and Technicolor, has sealed a content deal with Lionsgate Entertainment for TV series and movies.

The deal sees the Hunger Games and Twilight film franchises, The Impossible, Tyler Perry’s Madea films and TV series including Mad Men, Nashville and Anger Management going to M-GO customers for purchase or rental.

The partnership with M-Go “underscores the growing spectrum of digital and traditional platforms available for monetising our content,” said Lionsgate president of worldwide television and digital distribution Jim Packer.

The alliance with Lionsgate follows previous content agreements with NBCUniversal, Paramount Pictures, Sony Pictures Home Entertainment, Twentieth Century Fox and Warner Bros Digital Distribution.

M-Go is available on Android, iOS and Windows devices and will be pre-loaded on smart TVs and Blu-ray players from LG Electronics, Vizio and Samsung and Intel Ultrabook devices.
