Luyworks Media, Something Special join forces to adapt All3’s The Traitors in Korea

The Traitors format has been picked up by 30 licensees internationally

Korea’s Luyworks Media and Something Special have partnered to adapt psychological reality format The Traitors in Korea.

The Korean companies picked up the rights from All3Media International, which controls the format through its Dutch production label IDTV. The companies did not reveal if there was a broadcaster or streamer attached to the adaptation.

The deal brings the total number of international adaptation agreements for the property to 30. Prime Video in India and RTÉ in Ireland have recently agreed to make local versions of the show.

The original Dutch version (De Verraders) was created and developed by Marc Pos and IDTV’s creative director Jasper Hoogendoorn, in cooperation with RTL Creative Unit.

Luyworks Media has produced series including Physical 100, Street Woman Fighter and Show Me The Money, while Jin Woo Hwang’s Something Special represents formats and acts as a bridge between Korea and the international market.
