Lux to head Channel 4 entertainment

The UK’s Channel 4 has appointed Danielle Lux as its new head of entertainment and controller of E4, replacing Kevin Lygo who is leaving to become director of programmes at Channel 5.

Lux, currently controller of entertainment commissioning at the BBC, will join Channel 4 in the autumn.

The range and quality of her previous commissions show that she has an intuitive feel for entertainment and she will continue to reinforce Channel 4’s reputation for ground-breaking comedy and entertainment.{

Claudia Rosencrantz, ITV’s controller of entertainment and Alan Nixon, head of entertainment at Channel 5 are two possible candidates along with BBC’s head of entertainment features, Wayne Garvey and Jon Beazley, commissioning executive for entertainment at the BBC.
