LumoTV’s investigative docuseries Open Your Eyes heads to Channel 4

Open Your Eyes, a new two-part investigative docuseries from British Sign Language-led streamer LumoTV, has been picked up by UK network Channel 4.

Open Your Eyes: Maternity in Crisis will air on Channel 4 on May 11 before Open Your Eyes: The Battle for Education airs on May 25.

The series, which previously premiered on the LumoTV platform, is produced by Flashing Lights Media, a deaf-led production company, alongside Rare TV.

Led by deaf journalist Erika Jones, the docuseries explores the inequities many deaf people experience when accessing public services in the UK.

In Maternity in Crisis, Jones uncovers alarming gaps in NHS maternity care for deaf women, while The Battle for Education looks at the challenges faced by deaf children and their families as they navigate Britain’s education system.
