Lovejoy falls for AETN

Another former Target Entertainment executive has turned up at AETN International.

Ellen Lovejoy, who was senior VP of sales and programming at the distributor, has left to rejoin ex-Target MD Ian Jones, who exited last year after the firm was taken over by Metrodome and joined AETN International as MD.

Lovejoy will once again report to Jones, taking up the role of senior director of international content sales in the spring, based in New York. She will be responsible for sales strategies and licensing AETN programming in territories including Australia and New Zealand.

At Target, Lovejoy oversaw licensing to the US, Canada and Latin America, and programme acquisitions from the Americas. Prior to Target she was VP of sales and programming for the same territories at Beyond Distribution.

Her appointment at the overseas distribution arm of A&E Television Networks comes after two other ex-Target execs – Oliver Ellis and Helen Howells – yesterday struck out on their own with a new kids production company called Hoho Entertainment.
