Love Nature rescues Malawi Wildlife again

Malawi Wildlife Rescue is produced by Icon Films

Blue Ant Media-owned natural history channel Love Nature has greenlit a second season of Malawi Wildlife Rescue.

Produced by UK prodco Icon Films, Malawi Wildlife Rescue follows a team of vets and wildlife rescuers at Lilongwe Wildlife Centre in Malawi.

Season two (6×60’) will premiere worldwide on Love Nature’s linear and streaming platforms in April 2022.

“The second season of Malawi Wildlife Rescue will include more field work for the veterinary team and rescue stories from outside of the sanctuary,” said Alison Barrat, senior VP of production and development at Love Nature.

“The new episodes have a sharper focus on the impact of humans in the region, with stories featuring illegal wildlife confiscations, as well as introducing more drama with large animal translocations and rescues as a result of human wildlife conflict.”

Barrat exec produces for Love Nature with James Manfull, with Icon Films’ creative director Stephen McQuillan also exec producing. Jo Robinson is series producer.

Blue Ant International oversees presales and licensing in the US and internationally for Malawi Wildlife Rescue.
