Love Nature docs to follow Senegalese chimps, Aussie venomous snake catchers

HumanLike: The Chimps of Fongoli looks at how the apes adapted to an extreme environment

Blue Ant Media’s Love Nature brand has greenlit a docuseries following snake hunters in Australia and a single doc about chimpanzees in Senegal.

Aussie Snake Wranglers: Deadly Pursuit season one (6×30’) comes from Breakout Productions with support from the South Australian Film Corporation. The show follows a snake-catching team on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast as they trap and relocate some of the most venomous snakes in the world.

HumanLike: The Chimps of Fongoli (1×60’) comes from Passion Planet in coproduction with the WNET Group. The doc looks at how a group of elusive chimps living in the Fongoli region of Senegal, on the southern edge of the Sahara Desert, have adapted to survive in an extreme environment far from their natural habitat.

Both projects will premiere on Love Nature worldwide and will roll out on Sky Nature in the UK, Italy and Germany, in addition to premieres across co-commissioning territories.

Blue Ant Studios oversee licensing opportunities for the shows outside the commissioning territories.
