Love Island USA spin-off Beyond the Villa ordered to series at Peacock

ITV America took UK dating format Love Island to the US

Comcast-owned American streaming service Peacock is expanding its Love Island USA franchise with the greenlight of spin-off series Love Island: Beyond the Villa (working title).

Set to premiere this summer, the series follows contestants from the sixth season of Love Island USA as they navigate new careers, friendships and fame in LA.

Like the flagship US series, Beyond the Villa is produced by ITV America, in association with GroupM Motion Entertainment.

The greenlight comes after season six of Love Island USA became the most-watched original reality series ever on Peacock.

The spin-off is executive produced by David George, Adam Sher, Sarah Howell and Richard Bye alongside Richard Foster and Chet Fenster.

Love Island USA is based on a format owned by Lifted Entertainment and GroupM Motion Entertainment and distributed by ITV Studios. The format debuted on ITV in the UK in 2005.
