Little Dot Studios appoints Sky’s Zara Gregory as director of operations

All3Media-owned UK digital content prodco Little Dot Studios has appointed Sky executive Zara Gregory to the newly created role of director of operations.

Gregory will report to chief operating officer Kevin Gibbons and will work with the  Little Dot leadership team to develop and implement an overall operational strategy for the business.

She will be responsible for designing and driving an operational change agenda that supports long-term sustainable growth across the company, Little Dot said.

Gregory brings more than two decades of media industry experience to Little Dot Studios. She joins the company from Sky, where over the last five years, as group head of transformation, she was responsible for embedding cultural change across its content operations arm and Sky News division.

Before joining Sky, Gregory was at the BBC, where she held a number of key operational roles across TV and production, including leading the transition of BBC Three from a linear to an online proposition.

Little Dot said the newly created role would build on recent accelerated growth as it continues to scale up, having recently hired a new senior management team in the US and acquired new businesses such as streamer History Hit and sports-focused production studio Wing. The company has said it expects to increase this growth substantially over the next three to five years.

It also added Jen Leeming as senior vertical video producer and Ed Turner as director of media earlier this year.

Based across the UK, US, Germany and Asia Pacific, Little Dot Studios works with TV, sports and consumer brands to create video and audio content for more than 600 social channels globally.

Gibbons said: “Little Dot is rapidly scaling up as a global business, following a period of accelerated expansion over the past 18 months. Zara’s calibre and experience at major media brands makes her the ideal person to transform our operations and deliver significant, sustainable growth across the company, while also meeting our ambitious environmental and inclusivity commitments.”
