NEWS BRIEF: UK- and Hong Kong-based distributor Lightning International has launched wildlife- and environment-focused channel People & Planet across Asia.

A partnership with AsiaSat and UK broadcaster Black Cat Global, the channel is now live in high definition via the AsiaSat9 satellite. Content includes shows such as Nigel Marven’s Wild, Asia’s Deadliest Snakes and Sumatra’s Last Tigers.
