Lifetime renews Kinetic relationship pair

Married at First Sight sees people tie the knot with strangers

US cablenet Lifetime has renewed docuseries pair Married at First Sight and Seven Year Switch for seventh and third seasons respectively.

Both shows are to air as part of a new relationship-focused block titled Real Love on the A+E Networks-owned channel on Tuesday nights.

Married at First Sight and Seven Year Switch are produced by Red Arrow-backed US producer Kinetic Content. Kinetic’s Chris Coelen and Eric Detwiler executive produce both series alongside Gena McCarthy.

Married at First Sight sees single people yearning for long-term relationships agree to legally marrying strangers the moment they first meet at the altar.

Seven Year Switch follows four couples who take part in an extreme experiment of ‘switch therapy’ by swapping partners in an attempt to salvage their broken relationships.

Married at First Sight returns on July 10 while Seven Year Switch will return the following Tuesday, July 17.
