Left Bank’s Sharon Hughff joins eOne as creative director of scripted TV in UK

Transatlantic producer and distributor Entertainment One (eOne) has appointed former Left Bank Pictures executive Sharon Hughff as its creative director of scripted television in the UK.

Sharon Hughff

Hughff, who spent more than eight years at The Crown producer Left Bank, will oversee eOne’s scripted team and pipeline in the UK while leading efforts to grow its slate of projects for international buyers in Europe and Asia.

Based in London, Hughff will report to Pancho Mansfield, president of global scripted television at eOne.

Mansfield said: “We’re delighted that Sharon will lead our team in the UK. With her strong talent relationships and passion for producing great drama, Sharon will be a fantastic addition to the eOne team as we continue to build on our success in the international market.”

Hughff added: “At eOne there is a genuine ambition and passion to make excellent content for the international market and I am looking forward to working with Pancho and his team to grow this business.”

Hughff has more than two decades of experience in the UK scripted market, including almost nine years as an executive producer at Left Bank Pictures. During her time with the London-based prodco, Hughff was responsible for the development and delivery of The Halcyon (ITV), Strike Back (Sky and HBO), White Lines (Netflix), Three Pines (Amazon) and The Fear Index (Sky and Showtime).

Before joining Left Bank, Hughff was an exec producer at Shed Media, working on series including Waterloo Road. Her other production credits include EastEnders, Holby City and The Inspector Lynley Mysteries.

The appointment follows the departure of head of scripted Polly Williams, who left eOne alongside Arielle Gottlieb last year to lead French firm Federation Entertainment’s UK expansion.
