Landmark makes Flagrant series

New US-based prodco Landmark Studio Group is developing original series Flagrant, following a production partnership with actor and comedian Michael Rapaport.

Michael Rapaport

Flagrant sees a disgraced college basketball player who threw a game and gambled on his team get a shot at redemption. Twenty years after the basketball world shunned him, he gets the chance to coach the struggling team at the school he once threw under the bus.

Landmark’s David Ozer and Tim Rouhana will serve as executive producers alongside Rapaport, with Peter Hoare and Pete Correale co-writing the series and acting as showrunners.

Ozer, Landmark CEO, said: “This project is an incredible opportunity for Landmark to work with such an amazing team of creatives to bring this unique new series to life. I cannot be more excited to work with this great team on Flagrant as one of the first projects under the Landmark banner.”

Landmark entered the scene at Mipcom last month after US producer and distributor Chicken Soup for the Soul Entertainment teamed up with Ozer to launch the prodco.

Landmark seeks to develop, produce and distribute original content, while also developing content for Chicken Soup for the Soul Entertainment’s recently acquired AVoD platform Crackle.

Landmark controls all worldwide rights of its content and distributes through Chicken Soup for the Soul Entertainment’s Screen Media division.
