LA-based Talent firm A3 Artists Agency shuttering operations

LA-based talent agency A3 Artists Agency is set to cease operations, it announced on Friday.

The company revealed the move in a memo to staff, saying it had taken the decision after “careful consideration and evaluation of our circumstances.”

“This decision was not made lightly and comes after extensive analysis. Despite our best efforts, we find ourselves unable to continue operating in a sustainable manner,” said chief operating officer Todd Quinn in the email to staff.

News that A3 Artists is closing comes a month after it sold its digital and alternative departments to rival agency Gersh.

It also comes amid an internal dispute that has seen majority owner Adam Bold being sued by CEO Robert Atterman and president Brian Cho, who are accusing Bold of sexual misconduct, substance abuse and financial mismanagement of the business. Bold denies the allegations.

In his memo, Quinn told staff they would receive their final pay cheque on Monday as well as severance pay.

“We want to express our deepest gratitude for the support and partnership. It has been a privilege to work alongside you,” said Quinn.
