Knowledge Canada, Mediacorp Singapore, Noga Israel take a dive with Emerald

Emerald is produced by UK independent Kelebek Media

MIPCOM: Knowledge Canada, Mediacorp Singapore and Noga Israel have become the first international broadcasters to pick up new animated series Emerald, following its debut at MipJunior.

Paris-based youth audiovisual content sales company Madgic Distribution has been shopping the 18×11’ series plus a 1×22’ special in Cannes this week.

Adapted from the hit book series by Harriet Muncaster and aimed at children aged four-to-seven, Emerald was produced by UK independent Kelebek Media for Sky Kids in the UK.

We meet Emerald as her life changes from being a regular mermaid living with her dad and his girlfriend above their restaurant to inheriting a princess step-sister and becoming a princess herself when her mum marries the Sea King.

Emerald is a companion series to Kelebek Media’s 2D animated series Isadora Moon (48×11’ and 2×22’), which is also based on a book created and written by Muncaster. Madgic Distribution holds worldwide distribution rights for the series, excluding the UK, US and Italy.
