Kids’ network Kartoon Channel! to start Asia Pacific roll-out in Australia

Kartoon Channel!, the digital network owned by US children’s company Genius Brands International, is launching in Asia Pacific with an initial debut in Australia.

Genius Brands is working with Hong Kong-based agent Lightning International to further expand Kartoon Channel! in the Asia Pacific region through launches on FAST channels, AVoD, SVoD and OTT platforms, mobile devices and more.

Featuring children’s content ranging from animated classic Babar to Angry Birds, Yu-Gi-Oh! and originals like Stan Lee’s Superhero Kindergarten, Kartoon Channel! will debut in Australia on Samsung TV Plus on Wednesday.

The channel launched as a programming block called Kartoon Genius in Latin America, the Middle East and North Africa earlier this month.
