Keshet International reveals Mipcom slate of scripted, factual and format titles

Red Alert focuses on the October 7 Hamas-led terror attacks on Israel

Israeli distributor Keshet International (KI)’s Mipcom slate is headed up by action-drama series Red Alert, one of the first scripted projects based on the real-life events of 2023’s October 7 Hamas-led terror attacks on Israel.

The 4×60’ drama, coproduced by Green Productions (Cinema Sabaya) and Bender Brown Productions (Dr Vegas) for Keshet 12, focuses on five citizens unexpectedly thrust into the centre of armed incursions from the Gaza Strip as they’re confronted with life-or-death situations.

The slate’s other scripted titles comprise suspense drama Nutuk (8×60’, Yoav Gross Productions for Keshet 12) and La Belle et la Boulanger (4×60’, Marathon Studio and Terence Films for TF1), the French adaptation of Assi Azar’s hit format The Baker & the Beauty.

In the formats space, Messiah Superstar (8×30’, Keshet Germany for Joyn) is a mockumentary comedy, while Boom! Heist Mode is a safe-cracking contest adapted from one of KI’s most successful formats, Boom!, which has been licensed and produced in 22 countries to date.

KI will also launch The Search Kids in Cannes, which is described as the children’s version of physical word search puzzle format The Search, created by Youngest Media and KI.

In factual, the roster includes sports-skewing doc Ellie Simmonds: Should I Have Children (1×60’, Flicker Productions for ITV) featuring the British paralympic swimmer, Hitler’s Favourite Royals (3×60’, Caledonia TV), Secret Royal Homes (3×60’, Yeti Productions), Subterranean Secrets (10×60’, Hello Mary), Trucking Hell (20×60’, Crackit Productions for 5), and Casualty 24/7 (6×60’, Crackit Productions).
