International Women’s Day takes place tomorrow, shining a spotlight on women’s rights, equality, abuse and other issues, as well as celebrating female achievement and continuing the campaign against discrimination.

While Margot Robbie and Greta Gerwig’s Barbie took the box office by storm last year, a recent US study found that female representation within the film business plummeted, with the fewest women-led titles released in 10 years.

The #MeToo movement raised awareness around sexual harassment within the workplace seven years ago, but the issue persists, as does inequality in pay and employment opportunities. Anecdotal evidence suggests the current economic climate may also be disproportionately affecting women, with men garnering the greatest share of fewer commissions from those in control of handing them out.

Mothership founder & CEO Kelly Webb-Lamb, Rogan Productions MD Soleta Rogan, Blackbox Multimedia head of development Chiara Cardoso, and Wildstar Films exec producer Chloe Sarosh spoke with Karolina Kaminska about these topics and more.

C21FM is live 24/7, with a block of interviews starting at 10am BST every day HERE.
