NEWS BRIEF: US talkshow The Kelly Clarkson Show, produced by Universal Television and distributed by NBCUniversal Syndication Studios, is to come to an end after seven seasons following Clarkson’s decision to step away from hosting a talkshow.

Production on S7 will continue as planned, with episodes set to air through to the fall of this year. In addition, a few special guest hosts will be announced. Clarkson said: “Stepping away from the daily schedule will allow me to prioritise my kids, which feels necessary and right for this next chapter of our lives.”
