Keith Le Goy promoted to replace Ravi Ahuja as chairman of Sony Pictures Television

Sony Pictures Entertainment (SPE) has promoted Keith Le Goy to chairman of Sony Pictures Television (SPT) to succeed Ravi Ahuja, who became president and CEO of SPE at the beginning of the month.

Le Goy was most recently SPT’s chairman of worldwide distribution and networks, a role he took up in 2021. In his new position, he will now oversee all domestic and international TV production, including the gameshow business and Game Show Network. He will continue to report to Ahuja.

Le Goy joined SPT in 1999 as senior VP of European distribution, before becoming senior VP and MD for Latin America in 2003 and then president of international distribution in 2006. Continuing to rise through the ranks, he became president of worldwide TV distribution in 2016 and president of distribution and networks in 2018.

During his time at Sony, Le Goy has secured distribution deals for IP including Seinfeld and film output deals with Netflix and Disney in the US.

According to the company, under Le Goy’s leadership SPE’s digital home entertainment business experienced its highest ever annual revenue globally for the movie business in 2024, while SPE’s anime subscription service Crunchyroll hit 15 million paying subscribers in more than 200 territories.

He also renewed focus on local-language productions in Latin America for SPE’s networks and led the recent launch of SPE’s in-car entertainment service RIDEVU and its entertainment app for PS5 and PS4 consoles Sony Pictures Core.
