Kansas City Chiefs touchdown with new production studio ahead of Super Bowl

American NFL team the Kansas City Chiefs (KCC) has launched its own production studio ahead of its appearance in the Super Bowl this weekend.

The new studio venture, Foolish Club Studios, will develop scripted and unscripted content across both long and shortform content.

The team is aiming to expand its brand internationally, with the launch of the new studio seen as a strategic investment in furthering that goal. Foolish Club Studios will sit alongside KCC’s in-house production entity, 65 Toss Power Trap Production, which produces fan-focused content.

Foolish Club Studios will focus on “unique stories that not only highlight the rich, deep history of the franchise, the characters that have defined it and its position within the Kansas City and global communities, but also stories that reflect the spirit of humility, heart, and hard work that have been part of the team’s heritage since the beginning,” said KCC.

Many of the team’s players are already household names in the US including Travis Kelce, who dates Taylor Swift and has made a foray into television as the host of Amazon’s Are You Smarter Than a Celebrity?, and quarterback Patrick Mahomes.

KCC has made other TV-focused moves in the past, last year partnering with Hallmark Channel, Skydance Sports and the National Football League on Holiday Touchdown: A Chiefs Love Story, a festive romance movie set in the world of American football.
