Cops On The Block premiered on M6 and debuts at Mipcom

French distributor Kabo International has acquired sales rights to a police comedy format that debuted recently on French broadcaster M6.

Cops On The Block (aka Commissariat Central, 19×44′) revolves around the antics of a group of policemen as they try to enforce law and order in their town.

The show, which is being presented at Mipcom next month, premiered on M6 on August 27 and claimed a 10% audience share, according to Kabo.

It is produced by Thalie Images, a subsidiary of Kabo Family, and is based on Kabo’s Pick’n Mix sitcom format in which individual comedy sketches can be assembled in any order to suit a broadcaster’s schedule.

“Kabo Family has built a strong rapport with M6 over the years, and the Pick’n Mix format has proven itself time and time again, systematically increasing the slot performance for the broadcaster,” said Arabelle Pouliot Di-Crescenzo, MD at Kabo International.
