Feldman left the US-based business to join mobile gaming company Scopely, which recently acquired the GSN Games division in a deal valued at around US$1bn. The transaction concluded earlier this week.

In his new role, Zaccario, who joined GSN in 2008 as executive VP of advertising sales for its flagship Game Show Network, will be charged with running GSN production arm Game Show Enterprises, gameshownetwork.com, getTV, Sony Movies and Sony Cine, as well as distribution of the Game Show Network and Sony libraries via FAST Channels.

In his previous role with GSN, Zaccario oversaw sales efforts for Game Show Network’s media properties, including the cable television network, the GSN Games Network online and GSN’s social and mobile apps. He also added chief marketing officer to his remit in 2017.

Before joining GSN in 2008, he was VP of ESPN’s digital media sales and marketing, overseeing efforts for ESPN.com, ESPN 360, Mobile and ITV. Prior to that he held advertising sales positions at ABC Entertainment, ABC News, Raycom Sports and Katz Television.

“As a longtime member of GSN’s management team, John has demonstrated terrific leadership and delivered strong ad sales results for the organisation over the years. We are delighted to have him step into the position of president, leading GSN and our digital and FAST channels business in the US,” said Ravi Ahuja, chairman of Global Television Studios and Sony Pictures Entertainment corporate development.

“Our gameshow businesses are incredibly important areas of focus for us and we will continue to invest and expand them into the future.”
